SOLO COMPOSITIONS AND COLLABORATIONS

I have always loved creating music. Music to me is like listening to a story being told. It could be dramatic, melancholy, uplifting, action-packed, tense or even gentle and peaceful. It's an arrangement of sounds, pitches and rhythm that can move you emotionally and even take you on a journey. Music has always had an effect on me like it does many others which is why it’s always fascinated me.

Some of the music below are songs that I have written and played, all of which are instrumental pieces. Others are written by other artists in which I played as a guest on their song. Most of those songs have vocals.

The styles of all of these songs run through several genres: jazz, blues, rock as well as acoustic guitar styles. I tend to play rather eclectic styles that cross over different genres.

The songs below are divided into sections with each labeled as to which are my original work and which were written by others.

Thanks for listening!

Original Music & Solo performance

Psalm 33  (Smooth Jazz) - An original piece inspired by Psalm 33 in the Bible, particularly the first 3 verses: "Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy."

Clarion Call for a Dark World (Jazz Rock Fusion) - A piece I wrote trying to depict the tension between our current chaotic society growing darker, more violent and immoral and confronting it with Biblical truth and warning of impending divine judgement.

Triumphant Kingdom (Jazz Rock Fusion) - A piece I wrote after being inspired reading a book series called “The Chronicles of the Nephilim” which depicted in a “Lord of the Rings” fashion the drama of the bible from Genesis to Revelations and the tension between good and evil . The reality that the Kingdom of God will triumph over the kingdom of darkness, good triumphing over evil., God's Truth victorious over demonic deceptions and lies. It's a supernatural struggle that is playing out in our physical world. "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:11-12)  The musical moods of the piece are my attempt to paint  the picture with notes, tones and rhythm. The song features my friend Giorgio Finettil playing violin.

The Fool Says in his Heart… (Jazz Rock Fusion) - The song is inspired by Psalm 14 which speaks of a fool who by his own willful disregard for the existence of God destroys his own conscience resulting in a life full of selfishness, moral corruption and evil. It's a microcosm of where society today is heading.
